Hi Duncan,

Welcome to the forums.

Realtracks are recordings of professional musicians playing specific chords and chord progressions. These chords and progressions are mapped by PG Music and BIAB uses this mapping to locate the chords/progressions. When the BIAB chordsheet has chords added to it, BIAB copies and pastes the relevant sections of the musician's recording to create a backing track that fits the chords entered.

It is not possible to load in recordings of instruments and have BIAB convert these recordings into Realtracks. It is possible to create your own Realtracks. These are called User Tracks. To do this, you need to know the chords and progressions that were played in a recording and whereabouts within that recording various chords were played. A chord map can be created and a User Track can be assembled.

If you want to find out about user tracks, I suggest having a look at the below PG Music web page.

I hope this helps,
--Noel
