Hi Bob, David, Rob, Mario and Ron,

Of course my reply is a little late, but there is an excuse; I am on holidays now for a week and one week to go.
I am in Germany at a super small distance of Switzerland. That country lies on the other side of the river Rhein and is connected with a wooden bridge for bikers and pedestrians. The bridge is about 300 meters long and from the 13th century. It appears to be the longest wooden bridge in Europe. A very special feeling. Maybe one day I make a song of it.
But let us concentrate on your posts on this “Lizzy song”. I forgot to say in the introduction on this song that I used House drums and background vocals from Logic Pro. What I needed there wasn’t available in BiaB.

Hi Bob, thanks for your lovely comment! And thanks for loving the lyrics too. It was my idea to make a song with several emotions in it. You got it!

I may have said this before but a lot of your songs remind me of Al Stewart (Year of the Cat dude.)
Great production and vocals my friend.
Awesome.

Hi David, what nice to get this comment from you!
Yes, you said it before, not Cat Steven’s, but Al Steward! I told my wife about that. Of course we know that song. It was one of my favorites, but I never thought I had a voice like him! But I believe you right away ( my wife doesn’t). But I wonder, why people don’t say this more often. Even Janice and Bud call me John, not Al… But thanks a lot!

Hello Rob, quirky, the lyrics? I was a bit amazed that you wrote this and even added “not in a good way”.
There are a lot of lyrics concerning love songs (mostly similar words), one might not like the genre, but quirky. I admit, I had to look it up on Google Translate, but still didn’t get what you mean. My intention for these lyrics were to put several kinds of emotions in them, like a girls band, with one beauty and one average girl. The vocals are different in quality, and they have a different taste. But because they like singing, and together that sounded smooth, they continue singing. But then the Beauty died in an accident. That gave such a shock to the other girl that she couldn’t sing no more. And then I memorized the meaning or legacy of this band. What is so quirky about that? Explain that to me, if you want. And thanks for the rest of your comment!

Hello Mario, the way you wrote this very nice comment, made me think of Floyd 😉
You only had to add: Good use of Band in a Box.
But that is meant as a positive, but funny reaction from me ( I’m on holidays and than these things can happen).
But thanks a lot for your comment.

(I detect vocal FX chain clipping in the louder sections using multiple sound sources, but that just may be something I'm especially sensitive to.)

I kind of like quirky, sad songs, probably because we write so many of them. Am reminded here of The Kinks and the dark-but-still-playful side of Ray Davies, who I adore.
And I adore your song, too.

Hi Ron, thanks a lot for your so nice response! I think your ears are much sharper than mine, because I haven’t heard that FX chain clipping. I’m always very keen on sound mistakes orde clipping. And I use Isotope for extra checks. So if I’m home I will check that again…
But I love to read you like quirky songs and then to which they reminded you!!!
And you made my day complete with your last sentence and smile! Thanks!

Thank you all and till our next comments!
Hans
