Actually, as far as I can tell, you play the Mandolin pretty well, considering how recently you started, and I wouldn't have thought it would really fit this genre, but it works quite well and the melody is really nice.
Personally, I prefer the overall feel of the song when the piano isn't playing, it sounds less cluttered and clearer that way.

But for a first Mandolin outing, the result is pretty good [Linked Image - Only viewable when logged in]
