It wasn't that I was dissatisfied with the original, it just needed to be freshened up a bit.

I really appreciate the compliment on the solo. I've always aimed to get tasty, melodic solos in the playing. Even when I was gigging full time, I would work on developing a melodic fill as opposed to just mindless pentatonic riffing and scales. I often spend a lot of time developing my solos. What I started with is nothing at all like the one that gets printed.

Yes, the vox are a little on the "wet" side of things.
