I have access to an online guitar course provided by a nonprofit called +++ Cavarts +++. Cavarts is a creative arts program for US military veterans. In addition to guitar a songwriting course is offered.

I found the guitar course interesting because lesson one was (1) the proper names of the different parts of acoustic and electric guitars, (2) the proper way to hold a guitar while sitting in a chair and standing, (3) how to correctly hold a pick (plectrum) while strumming and (4) how to position your fingers and hand while fingerpicking.

Lesson two was (1) how to select guitar string sets, (2) the tools needed to change strings, (3) multiple ways there are to change strings both individually or in sets and (4) multiple ways to tune a guitar to standard tuning.

As you can tell just by the first few lessons this course is trying to teach veterans how to properly play guitar.
