The only thing that confounds me - what was Floyd Patterson’s jaw like?

Hi Andrew! Floyd Patterson was a very good heavyweight champion but he had the weakest jaw of all time: he couldn't take a punch. He got knocked down 20 times in his career. The blow-by-blow commentary that precedes the song is there to explain the conceit. So the character in the song is weak romantically: he has a heart like Floyd Patterson's jaw. It's a tricky concept but I think it works and I'm happy with it.
