When my wife saw this in my studio bookcase recently, she wondered why in the world I would buy a copy when there's another in one of our music bookcases that she had owned since high school.

I pointed out that I had purchased my copy used from a bookstore near San Jose State before we met in 1972 (I lived near the school and still own the house). Yeah, mine dates back to high school, too. I've not checked to see if her's is also a 1943 1st edition (nor do I care).

Between the internet, MasterWriter and other resources, neither of us have cracked open our copies in many, many years but mine saw a lot of use over four decades. Can't imagine that either of our daughters are interested in them — perhaps my grandson… Yeah, right!
