(although in the process it somehow jinxed my UMC404HD audio interface, while recording the audio sounded warped and crackling like on some bad buffer setting even thought the final recording was clean, and after that despite restarting, it no longer sends sound via headphones. Interface works with ipad still so it's not that or the headphones, but had to dust off my Steinberg UR22. Odd!)

Nothing odd about it—just gotta know where to look. In System Settings/Sound, you will see that you have a number of audio sources for Input and Output. Not at my Mac but the one for Wondershare is not intuitive. Anyway, selecting the right sources and destinations is the key here. Took me awhile to figure it out.

I’m assuming that you know where the videos are stored. If not, I can answer from my Mac and post a few screen shots.
