The SMELL of a book alone is heavenly. The EXPERIENCE of reading a book, or over a lifetime, hundreds of books, is life altering.

We have an entire wall lined with shelves of books. And stacks of books artistically arranged about the house. And boxes of books for when we can't make room.

It's an unreasonable obsession. But we own it.

As a practical matter, smelly, hardcopy books as we know them aren't necessary. I might find it painful that future generations won't share the same pleasure of books we have known, but prefer to cherish the memory of what it has meant for us.

I'm going to have to find an old rhyming dictionary now. Just because...

Thrift Books has many editions of the Moore at all price ranges.
