i dont know if this will help you...because without being there and seeing first hand how you work its difficult...but give this a crack...
heres how i work because ive found bb 'fiddly' for various things over the years that are a doddle in realband (rb). << and i'm sure various rb users will confirm this to be true who know both bb and rb.

firstly one needs to appreciate the strengths of both bb and rb.
and what each brings to the table.
strengths of bb are particularly blink of an eye track generation...
in rb it takes a little longer.
while the strength of rb is when one needs to get into a song at at a very detailed level eg more tracks (256) to create on//vastly superior audio and midi recording and editing/fractional tempos supported/AND a major thing for me is in rb tracks view i can actually see the divisions within the bar.
odd time sigs are supported.
i cant go into all aspects because i'm busy but suggest you read both the rb manual PLUS the following thread i created showing when one might consider rb over rb....and benefits...

https://www.pgmusic.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=859938#Post859938

notice the comment by DEL in above thread how he uses bb and rb.

given the above if you read it...i use bb to generate ultra fast new tracks and then drag those tracks into rb for the detailed work...BUT...if i want to do fractional tempo songs i do all in rb or lets say one is doing 48k projects...

plus you might read my other tips in in the pg tips forum...
eg doing drum solos and free plugins etc etc....and getting a song down fast
in rb.
eg....

in summary when one is getting into a song in depth sometimes rb is a better solution and often will do things faster.
its like anything in life one uses....to achieve success one often has to use different products and play to those strengths rather than trying to do everything in one product.
anyways...run tests with rb and see how it helps meet your needs.
