You're right. The synth/pad does several strange things, it's play is a bit "jumpy" and it's not obeying the hold. The jumpiness may be just an effect of the style, though it sounds like it's not sensibly voice-leading, which I thank a synth/pad really should be doing.

I tried a couple of other "similar" styles, searching for "synth pad" and found just _CLIPPER and _FLYFUNK, neither of which exhibit the extra chords, though both crash stop on the last bar. Probably the sensible answer is to just use some other style without the synth/pad, though it appears to me that the style _BULB is playing badly. Perhaps PGM can track it down.
