K-Dub Ya set a challenge to write a nonsense song, and this is the day of the big 'reveal'. All lyrics to this song don't have any meaning, unless my subconscious is trying to tell me something and I'm not listening. There are no repeating lyrics, as in a typical chorus, apart from the single word used in the title. For those that look at the Songwriting forum, this is the song I referred to as 'British Airways'.
Drums, bass, acoustic and electric guitars are from Band-in-a-Box and I sing and play acoustic lead.

LYRICS (Also see chord sheet attached)
He drew his dog naughty, confessing to outshine The angel whose pyjamas and pillow were mine. He insulted the world while juggling some swords, And he flew British Airways because of awards.
She tasted too soon and was ill for the cause, Occasion’ly waiting to retune her gauze. Indecision was agitating all he’d subvert, These manifested stories became the dessert.
Why don’t you hand me the phone? I’m not fazed by the rank of protections I was inside while my outer was alone It’s meaningful razors that cut through rejections Those darlings of Manchurian folklore assail What? You too shall prevail.
Depressed, obscured as a mind with obsessions, The plate of his brother cast organic confessions. The spire of serendipity belongs to your muse, But the map of the dungeon was just a big ruse.
Give the dog a bone It wasn’t hungry after eating confections it was dripping down my ice cream cone It’s mirrors and blinds that cut the reflections The superhero concept will work without fail What? It’s lost in the mail
Only after dinner was recently ajar My girl and her javelin pointed up to the stars They couldn’t homogenise the milk in its pail. The rocket propelled up through Venus’ veil.
Don’t snatch the lizard as it cools off its tongue, The rats of Gibraltar are going on the run.
Why don’t you give out a little moan? Your worried that there’s no insurrection A little dial turn for tone It’s practise and work that leads to perfection I bet the lot of you are going to gaol What? Your face has gone pale.
EDIT: Has anyone seen or heard from Tom Sperrazzo (Tano Music)? He was a regular forum member posting new material every couple of weeks up until Christmas Day 2025. He always had novel approaches to developing new material. He has not posted or replied to the Forum since then; his forum mailbox is full; nothing new on his website or on Soundcloud. His Forum profile says 'Last Seen 29/06/26 07:18 PM' but I don't know what that means. I've reached out to him via his SC account but no response. I don't need to speak to him - I just miss his contributions.

This flowed really well for the most part (way to go, Andrew!!) and was delightfully nonsensical. For me, the lyrics had a teasing way of making the listener think that maybe there was something quirkily profound being related. Further, this song might've sat comfortably among the tracks of The White Album. Really good stuff!

Well done! I think you accomplished what you set out to do. Great vocal that really keeps up with the esoteric lyrics. I agree with Rob - this would fit well on The White Album.
"Last Seen" means most recent post. We’ve missed him also.
Great band indeed. “Note: RT 2905 was ‘sliced and diced’ in certain sections to obtain the one bar fills in the choruses.” Yes! comping up multiple re-gens is for us THE way to go to personalize a RT.
Nice performances by you …. vocals and guitar.
The write? Well you more than adequately described it! Love Tunemonger’s description: might be some quirkily profound.
Another fine mix and another one of your productions much enjoyed by us.

I had a long journey with these lyrics. Originally I wrote a story with the idea of substituting each noun and verb with other random nouns and verbs. In the process, these pairs of lines came to me that had nothing to do with the original story. It’s easy to rhyme when there are no consequences! There was a bit of tweaking of this to smooth out the lyric flow.
White Album? My favourite of the Fab Four, and I love Savoy Truffle from that.

… and then there’s Sexy Sadie, Cry Baby Cry, Happiness is a Warm Gun, Martha My Dear … what an album!

I wondered - his ‘last post’ was 25/12/25 (DDMMYY), so wondered if ‘last seen’ was a last login? I hope he’s okay.

I think I’ll do more of this in future to dig out the gems.

Thank you. I know I’m not a great singer or player, but as long as they illustrate my musical idea, I’m happy.

Yep! Your subconscious is screaming at ya, Andrew. Man, i really enjoy how you guys challenge each other. ANd what a fine acceptance of K-DUb's recent one. I love the flighty melody. The vocals are so good. Nonsense is a great subject for a song. You make this one perfectly nonsensical. Oh, it's over? Got hear it again.
Enjoy whatever happens! marty

Yes, I do have a propensity for nonsense, and fully admit that I am some way along the quirkiness spectrum. I like to think of it as lateral thinking pushed to extremes. Yes, the three of us get great delight in hearing each of our responses to the current challenge. We should go back and replay some of these but always too busy with the next assignment. Our third member now has BIAB2026 so K-Dub and I are encouraging him to record and post to this forum … we’ll see.

Fun stuff.
David - I had to look up Markov Chains - it’s given me an idea for a new song theme - ‘My life is like a Markov Chain’ where each life episode moves me to a new situation in a range of foreseen possibilities. I’m sure I’ve met people who live that way!
Thank you Marty, Floyd and David for listening and commenting.
What I like and find fascinating about this song is that even though line upon line the lyrics don’t have any connection, my brain is still trying to find a connection and make sense of it. And at the end of it, it’s convinced that there is some structural meaning to the song. It’s a bit like Across The Universe, in that abstract way, although I hasten to say I think ATU has a tad more meaning. I think the stripped back and clean arrangement works really well, as it gives the listener a good chance to hear the disconnections and mess with their thought processes. I'm always surprised how all three of us have completely different takes on the same challenge, it’s good.
What? I have never heard such complete and utter nonsense! So you have absolutely nailed this months brief Andrew.

202 New RealTracks Released with Band-in-a-Box 2026!
With Band-in-a-Box® 2026, we've released 202 incredible new RealTracks (in sets 468-488) in a variety of genres—featuring your most requested styles!
Jazz, Funk & World (Sets 468-475):
Our new jazz, funk & blues RealTracks include a groovin’ collection of RealTracks and RealDrums! These include more requested “soul jazz” RealTracks featuring artists Neil Swainson (bass), Charles Treadway (organ), Brent Mason (guitar), and Wes Little (drums). There are new “smooth jazz” styles (4), which include a RealTracks first: muted trumpet, as well as slick new smooth jazz brushes options for drums. Blues lovers will be thrilled—there are more “classic acoustic blues” styles, including guitar (5), bass (4), and drums (10) with blues master Colin Linden, featuring understated and tasty background acoustic soloing, plus brushes drums and acoustic bass. There are also new electric blues RealTracks, including electric blues with PG favorite Johnny Hiland (3) and soulful electric slide guitar from Colin Linden (4). If you love funk & gospel, there are great new options this year, including gospel organ (3) from Charles Treadway, as well as new funk, tango, and rock ’n’ roll drums (3) and bass (1). And for big, bold arrangements, we have uptempo soul horns (4) featuring a three-part hip horn section with options for a full mix or stems of each individual horn — plus an accompanying rhythm section (4) of drums, bass, guitar, and electric piano!
Rock & Pop (Sets 476–482):
Our new rock & pop RealTracks bring a powerful mix of requested favorites, fresh genres, and modern chart-inspired styles! We have more of our popular “Producer Layered Acoustic Guitars (15)” featuring Band-in-a-Box favorite Brent Mason. We’ve continued our much-requested disco styles (10), and added new Celtic guitar (5) with a more basic, accessible approach than our previous Drop-D or DADGAD offerings. There are also highly requested yacht rock styles (17), inspired by the smooth, polished soft-rock sound of the late ’70s and early ’80s — laid-back grooves, silky electric pianos, warm textures, elegant harmonic movement, and pristine production aesthetics. Fans of heavier styles will love our new glam metal (13), capturing the flashy, high-energy sound of ’80s arena-ready guitar rock. We also have a set of rootsy modern-folk rock (18), with a warm, organic sound combining contemporary folk textures and driving acoustic strumming. And we’ve added lots of new modern pop styles (16) — the kinds of sounds you’re hearing on the radio today, featuring exciting new drums, synths, and cutting-edge RealTracks arrangements.
Country, & Americana (Sets 483–488):
Our new country & Americana RealTracks deliver a rich collection of acoustic, electric, and roots-inspired styles! We have new country pop (9) with legendary guitarist Brent Mason. There is also a potpourri (14) of bouzouki, guitars, banjo, and more, perfect for adding texture and character to contemporary acoustic arrangements. We’ve added funky country guitar (5) with PG favorite Brent Mason, along with classic pedal steel styles (5) featuring steel great Doug Jernigan. There are more country songwriter styles (8) that provide intimate, rootsy foundations for storytelling and modern Americana writing. Finally, we have “background soloing” acoustic guitar (12) with Brent Mason — simpler, but still very tasty acoustic lines designed to sit beautifully behind vocals or act as a subtle standalone solo part.
And, if you are looking for more, the 2026 49-PAK (for $49) includes an impressive collection of 20 bonus RealTracks, featuring exciting and inspiring additions to add to your RealTracks library. You'll get new country-rhythm guitar styles from PG Music favorites Johnny Hiland and Brent Mason, along with modern-pop grooves that capture today’s radio-ready sound! There are also new indie-folk styles with guitar, bass, 6-string bass used as a high-chording instrument, acoustic guitar, and banjo. Plus, dedicated "cymbal fills" RealDrums provide an added layer that work very well with low-key folky styles with other percussion.
The 2026 49-PAK is loaded with other great new add-ons as well. Learn more about the 2026 49-PAK!
