Dan, I use Tonalic Pro. It is really good at rhythms parts guitars/bass and drums.
The level of chord control is tighter than even micro chords.
Its library is still limited compared to BIAB.
However, If you are looking for more realistic lead parts, I find comping phrases together using BIAB plugin to generate 7 phrase tracks and then Comping the best of the lead phrases together in the DAW using the human ear to be the most effective way to get realistic solo parts down.
The plugin has the ability to use different chords than the song, allowing drone pedal style leads or different chords that can create harmonies to the main progression.
This works good for Lead guitar (electric or acoustic), saxophone and horn solos.
