Thanks Bob! I wasn’t sure about the drums and considered ‘2026-ing’ them, so I am glad they resonated.

Relaxing.
Thanks B.D.! I never touched a guitar when writing this - it was all done with BIAB notation playing midi general patch Jazz Guitar, but I am happy I wrote something that I (nearly) could play in 2026.

I loved it, a bouncy number with subtle changes which referenced the marching tribesmen. Watch out Mario, I think Andrew’s gunning for your instrumental crown!
Hi Lee! I think you’re right - I have vague memories when writing that BIAB gave me multi-instrument capabilities. I wrote a few instrumentals back then (probably 20 or so) because I was reluctant to sing and had yet discovered or acquired the means anyway. I think Mario’s mantle is well and truly safe - at least from this writer.

The bass keeps a fine steady beat, and i like how various instruments come and go. Well produced. Much enjoyed --3 times.
Thanks Marty. The guitar sound greatly improved when I added the ‘Silica beads’ impulse response effect. The bass timing was aided by some time stretching, particularly in the opening bars. Even with a recording metronome turned on, my fingers take a few bars to get in sync, but what would one expect from a rhythm guitarist trying to play bass! grin

The length of the song is also just right. …
Thanks Andi! I wasn’t sure about the reverb, so I am glad it appealed to you. There was a temptation to lengthen the piece, but I think it would have overdone it without any serious variation to keep it fresh for the listener.

Thanks Laurent! You’ve expressed that well. When writing, I never had a sense that those waiting were bored - they were just going about their routine business.

Thank you to all for listening and commenting!
