I've got a song that is 79 bpm. It's 4/4 but has one measure that is 2/4.
I inserted bar lines manually and changed the one measure to 2 beats. Everything plays back in sync up to the 2 bar measure. After it returns to 4 beats it drifts out of sync.

So I decided to equalize tempo. Again, it's fine until the 2 bar measure. There's 2 measures where the audio slows down but then speeds up in sync to the end.

If I mute the audio, the BB tracks are up to speed and work. With the audio unmuted, it's a train wreck as the audio is out of sync momentarily.

My questions.

Have you heard or experienced this yourself?
If yes, how did you fix it?

I'm wondering if I could use the equalize tempo on just a section of the song and not the whole song. If this is possible, I could use ET on the first part and then on the second part not equalizing the measure with 2beats and it might be workable.
Has anyone used Equalize tempo on just a small section?

The last resort is to mute the audio and use BB to make tracks and do some serious audio editing in the DAW.

Thoughts, ideas, opinions?

Edit: I asked this to the tech support chat and they didn't have an answer. They said they would have to research it and get back to me.
