While I agree with you that the audio would have been recorded in a studio, I disagree that this is "fake". I think a better word is "mimed". It's clear from watching the performers' physical movements that their street performance is identical to the audio that is available on Youtube. This indicates that it is a very well practised performance.

As the below information regarding songs in movies suggests, recording artists have a long, long history of miming their creations to bring an element of realism to a studio recording or, in this case, showcasing a studio quality recording of a spectacular live performance that passers-by were very impressed with. Maybe it is only me, but the fact that they are miming their own performance does not detract from the quality of the performance at all for me.
