Whether it's age or pickiness or both, it seems to take longer and longer for me to get a new song out.
Some of you seem to get a new one out there every week.
Anyway, this is my latest effort, and yes it's another sad one. I find it even harder to write happy.
How's the mix sound?

What's left of us © Vic Arnold 2026

Driving down the same old street.
Maybe where I shoudn't be.
So why am I here? Why am I here?
Same old windows, same old doors.
I've seen those flowers times before.
Every year. Every year.
But, one flower will never be the same.
One rose goes by another name.

Just passing through.
What's left of us.

Neighbours watching through the blinds
I wonder what is on their minds.
"Where's he from? Where's he from?
Up to no good, that's for sure."
Or, "I think I've seen that face before.
It's been so long. Is something wrong?"
They can't know what I've been through.
Am I, ... coming from or going to?

Just passing through.
What's left of us.
Inst.
I'll turn around at no. 9.
The way that I have every time.

Just passing through.
What's left of us. What's left of us.
