I fired up BIAB today on my Tahoe 26.5.2 Mac Mini.
Got the "you will be dead and in a grave soon" message.

Apple has been popping that one up for years. Any app that still functions over Intel will pop it up now and then.

Didn't realize 6 years had passed since AAPL promised to kill rosetta.

Huh? Rosetta was for enabling PPC aps over Intel and was killed in 2012. Rosetta 2 was introduced in 2020 to enable Intel apps on Apple Silicon Macs. Apple announced in 2024 that Rosetta 2 would go away with macOS 2028 in two years.

Anyway, I'm sure the Apple Silicon version will soon be ready for Beta Testing?

Perhaps but it's highly unlikely. Rosetta 2 is still supported in macOS 27 GoldenGate. Since an AS Native version of BIAB will not run over Intel Macs, I don't see PG Music cutting off that share of the market until BIAB 2028. They did release a 32/64 bit version in 2018 (you had to select one or the other depending on your macOS) but dropped 32 bit in 2019.

I have a test Volume running macOS 27 Golden Gate Beta 3. I've not tested BIAB over it yet but will soon—not expecting it to behave any differently than it does over Tahoe but I'll find out soon enough. So far, I'm having trouble with 3rd party MIDI drivers (but not CoreAudio/CoreMDI) and Apple's Books.app is broken—again.
