Here are a couple examples of low hanging fruit that was never addressed in the effort to improve user experience this year.

Consistency: In general there are many examples of inconsistency in terms of behavior and objects used to produce an action.

Loop Buttons: Buttons that everyone expect to be a state of toggle on or off do not show the state of on or off.
- Track view loop selection: does not show active state.
- Transport loop button shows active state yet only operates with a hot key.
- Loop song button shows state (kind of) but is a toggle on or off yet has two more options that are logically equivalent to on or off? ( it could dramatically improve User experience with simple on or off)
- Piano Roll view has no loop button or menu option for looping. The only clue is a bubble help. No color adjustments. Although it attempts to take more modern approach it's inconsistent with all other looping views in BIAB. I recommend adopting this approach across all views after basic clean up of a loop state button and color improvements.


Display Options Color:
- Is called Display Options in the Chord view and called Colors in Preferences (should be display options as it includes much more than colors)
- Very old un orthodox method of saving and recalling themes, even compared to other save and load actions in BIAB
- No way of easily seeing the name of current Display Option. (It is hidden under Save Button)
- Has no search for object names (always have to hunt)
- Color Categories are inconsistent some time based on Views (some view have no options), sometime based on Objects, sometime based on actions. (This makes it hard to hunt or search)

There are many other inconsistences such as Cursor behaviors but the point here is there are some easy low hanging fruits that would greatly improve the User Experience still left for 2026.
