As I was editing the video, the idea of people watching nonsense on social media came to me, and also reaction channels on YouTube.

Sigmund Freud would need a double espresso and a lie-down after analyzing lines like “he flew British Airways because of awards.” Were these pure stream-of-consciousness, or did you just empty the contents of a surrealist blender directly onto the page? (◔_◔)
I guess we could call it stream of consciousness. I just sat down and wrote random phrases that came to my head then followed up with another random line that rhymed.

The irony is, the lyrics are so wildly entertaining and "deeply meaningful" that they almost overshadow how genuinely catchy the melody and production are. Stop singing so well, mate....you're ruining the illusion that you're just making it up as you go!
Stop singing so well, mate … now there’s a phrase I haven’t heard in … well, ever!

I’m giving it 5 pints out of 5 🍺 🍻 🍻
(and frankly, after trying to decipher what a javelin-wielding girl has to do with homogenising milk, you might need a couple of those pints just to figure out what your subconscious was trying to tell you). 🤑
I’m glad you didn’t mention the juxtaposition to ‘rocket propelled up through Venus’ veil’! Hmm, maybe I’d better go see Dr Freud.

Kudos for your (and Lee's) creativity. 👋👌👍

Cheers, mate!
As long as those pints are sarsaparilla, I’ll take it! Thanks Izzy!

Thanks Hans! The nonsense lyrics helps reinforce a somewhat held belief of mine that ‘the lyrics are just the vehicle for the music’. This can be confirmed by mondegreens- misheard song lyrics like ‘the ants are my friends, they’re blowing in the wind’ or ‘there’s a bathroom on the right’ (Bad Moon Rising).

Thank you both for listening and commenting!
