I had Nectar a long time ago, but somehow the license expired or something, and I never upgraded because I was irritated it had decided to disappear.

I use Greg Wells VoiceCentric on a lot of my vocals, because I like what it does. It's got a pretty good reverb, although that won't stop me from using a secondary reverb that matches the vibe of the mix.

I've used Magma BB Tube occasionally to add some bite to a vocal.

I almost always will manually level vocals because I don't trust compressors to do the job properly. Plus, I can take care of plosives and sibilance without having to mess with a de-esser. I also remove any breaths while I'm at it. It's a bit of a process, but it ensures that the signal is solid going into the effects modules.

And I'm certainly not shy about using pitch correction on my own vocals. But I've learned the hard way that too much pitch correction will sound worse than none at all. frown

I used to use Waves Tune, but the UI window was too small. Hrm... I just checked my Waves account, and it seems that Waves Tune has disappeared. Well, no great loss.

That said, is there any particular processing that you thought Nectar did well on your vocals?
