I had/have a go-to preset in Nektar 4 Advance which seemed to be good for me: Soul R&B - Natural and Soulful. But my vocals are changing as I progress in my training. I am pushing my register up into my head\mixed voice more in current projects. And I feel the pre-sets in Nektar are not working well with this new voice. I acknowledge I am not a music engineer and so I don't understand all the technical jargon or how to really use the tools. I just know I need something that "cuts and emphasizes my voice more". I also recognize that Nectar does provide so much more that just vocal tone. I do use it for DeEss and noise reduction such as breathing, but I often find that this is best fixed by editing the wave form or using Melodyne to eliminate stray noise. So Nektar is likely not going aware soon, But back to "more vocal cut". I am working with two new packages from my vocal coach - Chris Liepe. These are looking promising to help pull out my voice. He has a free version of Vocal Menace and a demo 7-day version of his bigger package "Menace Rack". I am hoping to make these work for me.

I did check out Magma BB Tube - thanks. I like the price. It also talks about compression and a lot of technical processing similar to the Chris plugins which goes well over my head.
