Hopefully they will continue to make progress through that.

Their business model appears to demand a new release each year, for Christmas, with "new features" and I think improvements of the kind you/we want are not always so easy to sell as those new features. The last release had "many new features", rather than the 50+ they usually declare, so I think(hope) that indicated a change from their old way of working to something more focussed on a smoother user experience. I guess we'll find out for sure this coming December.

We have to remember that many changes they make will be fairly complex due to BiaB's history and will need extensive testing and still needs to fit within the above strategy. Some of the changes they make may well be just intermediate steps towards a planned end and the steps themselves may fade away.
