BIAB is special in many ways, and that is among them. Technically, there is a tiny bit of stuff in the Registry having to do with the last 10 songs that were loaded into BIAB, but this has nothing to do with how the program runs.

It is remarkable now to have a Windows application that resides in only one place and can be moved.

You can even specify different places for the Real Drums and/or the Real Tracks. I run the program from my relatively small SSD boot drive, but have the audiophile Real Tracks on their own hard drive.

Many users here run BIAB from the supplied external drive, which can even go from computer to computer.
