Hi again. It seems for one reason or another that I always ending up on this forum when there is no help other places. Well, this time it is about masking videos with moviemaker and Photostory 3. (Slideshow) The reason why I like to use Photostory 3 is beause i can use the zoom and pan that is not aviable in moviemaker. When I want to have the movie on the net though I must first load the film into moviemaker to create a moviemaker file since not all browsers like the files created by photostory 3. When I look at the film full (full screen) on my computer before I put it on the net, everything looks fine. Then I load the film into my microstore widget on the net.
After this is done, I "buy" my own film to test it. Then I lokk that it is not so good. After each transition between the pictures the film is distorted for a second or two. The problem is how to fix this. Another thing: When I render the Photostory3 file to a moviemaker file, and after look the moviemaker file and everything is ok, then it should be the same after I have upploaded it to the microstore vidget?
Yhis post is probably as confusing for you as it is for me, but I hope there is some help out there. Best regards tono

Moviemaker file is a wmv, right? And this looks good, but after uploading the microstore changes it to have these problems?
Do you have a link to store? Is it still a wmv after you bought it to test? Or is it now mp4?
How much difference is the file size from original to now?

I take it you finish up with a movie that is in WMV format before uploading and is perfectly OK at that point, why not use a different video hosting site such as Youtube or Vimeo? I use both for my stuff and always no problem with their conversion to their own format. You can even upload video to Photobucket but not such a good quality on playback.

Thank you for your answer Cornet New. It is because I use the bizmo mocro store widget. Take a look at it and tell me what you think about it. http://www.thebizmo.com/wp/Best regards tono

He would like visitors to purchase the film after watching a smaller version. Youtube doesn't work so well for that. His widget covers the payment side and everything.

Yes I see that now, but the short clip that you link to Tono (sent to me by PM) I watched and saw nothing of the problem you describe. Considering the presentation is now in Adobe Flash format, it may be your player version giving problems, I would check on the Adobe website to see if you have the current version. Oh one other thing, right click on the picture before starting the player, move down to quality and make sure the high box is ticked. Also link to that clip here so others may also view and comment.

Yes the current Flash file looks fine on the site. The problem, as I understand it, is that if you buy the file you get the mini file that is on the site (Flash), which is iPhone size, so if 'fullscreened' it looks grainy. He would like the purchaser to get a full size video. Something in the system is being missed (like the actual file download location being wrong and linking to swf file), or a workaround is needed. Not sure if this system allows a custom download location or if he needs to figure a way around it. I never work with wordpress .. unless I'm forced to.

Here is the link to the micro store widget folks: http://tomnordahl.no/blog/?page_id=77The "video" works ok when I look at it on the mocro store widget. What is interesting for me is how it looks on your computer when you download it. ( It is a free download at the moment. No charge ) Any iformation you can give me about the technichal qality and how to improove it would be wery helpful to me. (for example what cind of file is it? ) When I "produced" the film I used photostory 3 and imported it into moviemaker to render it to a moviemaker film before I sendt it to the microstore widget. ( Because I like the zoom and pan action you can do with photostory 3 ) I have to use some cind of slideshow for my videos, because ordinary video vill be to much work for me. If you have any bether solution for slideshows (Other programs for example ) I would be happy to know. And again , any sugestions to make the film technichal betther will be of grat help. Best regards tono

When I download I am getting an mp3 extension. It is likely Flash or mp4.
If I rename it to mp4, then clcik 'properties, windows is finally able to tell me screen size and bitrate. So I'm pretty sure it is actually an mp4 file at 640 X 426 at 828 kbps, 29 frames per second.
Only a couple spots look blurry here during fullscreen. Not too bad.

Thank you again rharv :-) Is there someone out there who could tell me a little about the mp4 format? How good qality can be expected from it? Maybe it does npt work well on full screen, but is intended for small screens like mobilephones etc?
Best regards tono
