If you use M$ Word or Works Word Processor (maybe most others) then try this tip for typing the copyright symbol: Type a title, etc., followed by (c) like this:
My Song Title(C). Note: No spaces before the "(". It will yield the copyright symbol. if that won't work in your word processor then try this: ALT+0169 on the NUM PAD (not the numbers above the QWERTY keys). The copyright symbol is ASCII code 0169 and should work on any computer.
