A lot of programs let you use the qwerty keyboard as a MIDI-input device. So you could use your keyboard to make drumtracks. Be careful not to get too enthousiastic when hammering in your drums; the microswiches in your keyboard are not made to deal with that kind of violence  I find the Korg padKONTROL a relative inexpensive but great controller to make and/or edit drumtracks. It is also a very fun controller to make pads and ambient sounds with softsynths.
