In RB and PT, yes you can.
For one thing, the animated drum kit allows using it. You can leaf thru the options and find where it displays and uses the qwerty. Keep in mind all velocity will be the same for every note and drum though. No way for the qwerty keyboard to let RB know whether you are pounding on it or lightly touching it.
It's handy for when you just want to get something down to work with real quick (especially if not at home or the studio), but not very 'real' in practical use.
I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome
