Thanks Martin - But I did fiddle with that and other display settings with no luck.

I did some experimenting and see (I think) when BIAB follows orders and when it doesn't.

New song, swing style. All notes and rests are 8th triplets,

Enter the notes manually in PRV, or play live (then quantize, if you like) and the problem of my original post exists. Even here, when viewing in editable notation view, all appears perfect (rest, note note), but in regular notation view and lead sheet views, triplet is displays only as to non-triplet 8ths.

Enter the rest followed by two notes manually in editable notation view, and rest and notes are displayed perfectly in all views including regular notation view and lead sheet views. So it seems that the only way to get a correct display is enter them manually in editable notation view.

Now the coup de grâce. If I enter the three notes manually in editable notation view, all is properly displayed (as expected). BUT, if I delete the first note of the triplet, creating a rest, the problem of my original post exists. Note, the rest does show up in the editable notation view but all other displays show two non-triplet 8ths.

So, this is no biggie as I have a manual work-around, But I'd like to know if I'm seeing this wrong or is this a genuine BIAB problem.
