Sometimes, I treat BIAB just as a luxurious metronom...

all I want in this occasion is a RealDrums track in an endless loop such that I can simply jam over it.

A special dialog/module would be handy here that has

1.) Start/Stop button
2.) Tempo buttons to quickly change tempo
3.) List of RealDrums to quickly change the drummer flavour.
4.) Feel switch buttons (Even/Swing/Shuffle) that affect the list of selectable RealDrums
5.) Measuring buttons (3/4, 4/4, 6/8, 5/4, etc.) that affect the list of selectable RealDrums
6.) Buttons to select the length of the bar scheme (e.g. 8 bars, 12 bars), which causes a variation of the drum pattern on every repetition (like brushes vs. sticks) and is looped forever.
7.) A beat counter (visible metronome) plus an indicatior at which bar of the scheme we currently are...

Partially, one can "misuse" the RealDrums Picker dialog for this purpose by utilizing the start/stop button, but a) it doesn't let you quickly change the tempo and b) relies on the song configuration (verse length, number of choruses, etc.) and does not loop forever and may take a while to load.
