Not being an iphone owner but having played with the itouch I would be grateful for your opinions on the new app and how useful is it.
Is it something you won't really touch if your main desktop comp is nearby, but handy to have if you are out of the house and you want to pass some time playing around with biab arrangements? (the impression perhaps the wrong one that I have)
1 can you play and regenerate realtracks on it?
2 if so can you save the regenerated realtrack to itouch only and it won't affect your main desktop biab computer arrangement?
3 as The itouch I may get will only have 8gb of space does this create a problem?
4 can you use the app as a remote control for the main biab on desktop?
All in all is it a big big plus and worth having?
sorry for asking all of this but apple stuff is not something I am very familiar with.

It seems a step in the right direction. I do look forward to the day when BiaB songs are generated natively on iOS.

Yes you can.
You have to first save a file on the desktop Band-in-a-Box into the BB2Go folder.
You then have to select (on the desktop version) Menu/Window/BB2Go which opens a new window.
In there you have to generate an Mp4 file which gets attached to the Band-in-a-Box file.
On the Ipod Touch (only one I have) you connect to the Band-in-a-Box server and Get the song.
After it has downloaded the files, it will be ready to play.
If you change any chords or volume on an instrument you can regenerate the song which then connects automatically to the Band-in-a-Box server to generate the song. Note: it leaves the song in the BB2go folder alone, it doesn't change that.

Yes you can.

No it won't.

You might want to reconsider buying the 8Gb. I own a iPod Touch 8GB and I'm running low on " disk" space. I have to remove files in order to upload new ones. If I want to run the BiaB app, I'd have to make a lot of space available.
My advice would be to go for a 16Gb or 32Gb (I'd prefer the latter).
