Frankie I'm banking on getting across the pond for Easter weekend. The plane is booked I'm dickering with hotel things, but the 'Royal Wedding' on Tues. means John should get out of town that day I think...

We will probably take the train to Glasgow and hire a car and head to the ancestral 'hame'. My G G Grandfather was a distiller in Islay, and came to Canada where he named the village Islay, still there but the Amish have moved in with horses like the old days.

We return to Canada Mid May out of Paris. I can walk very well, but I can hope, the docs think I'll recover some more...maybe.

I found out there are no guarantees, I've been planning to do this trip and others all my life but was waiting until I had the 'time'. I'm taking a bit of a gamble, I can't get health insurance...but heck who cares....

I had a less than 30% shot at Christmas, and it's only 2 weeks hence..
