I misplaced the hard drive power adapter. Can I buy that somewhere, are they just regular hard drives loaded with Band in a box.

It sounds like you have a different BIAB hard drive than mine. Mine has a standard size USB cable
that is permanently attached that is powered from the computer.
In any case any replacement cable should work. I have 3 other portable hard drives
that are powered by a mini USB cable. If that is what you drive takes I would suggest
getting a cable with 2 USB plugs at the computer side as some drives may require more
power than the one plug can supply.
If you are talking about an actual power adapter make sure it is the correct DC volts AND the correct polarity, meaning + or - tip.

PG Music has used several different types of hard drives, including ones with enclosures that are powered by a wall wart. I suggest you call PG Music Support and verify which type you have, and if it uses a wall wart, get the voltage, polarity and amperage requirements from them. If it does not use a wall wart, any USB cable will do.

It is a wall wart and comes with a usb cable from the hard drive to two usb red and black. I assume you plug them both in and it should power the drive, but my mac book pro won't power it or something else is wrong.
The polarity diagram is on it but no voltage.

I have the same style drive for my 2009 BIAB drive. It has a mini USB on one end and 2 full sized USB plugs on the other. I couldn't see a part number anywhere on it though.
Did you try plugging a mini USB to full size USB cable into a powered hub ?
A powered hub may provide more power than the built in USB on the MBP .

Pop the case open, the information should be on the drive which is inside, no?
