Ok - I got my 2011 Hard drive last night but I haven't installed it yet.

I also have a 2010 hard drive and I've been faithful to update BIAB/RB with patches, but I don't use the 2010 hard drive for projects - those go on a separate "audio" drive.

is there anything on the 2010 hard drive that I need to transfer over to the 2011 hard drive before I use it or is everything there?

in another thread, sandra was concerned about shots and holds on the update only having one file even tho her 2010 had more - are all shots and holds on the 2011 hard drive?

Likey no one has over-analyzed this more than I. With the multiple install and hard disk options this can certainly be confusing, however, after all my time i am not convinced I have it ALL installed and it is working as intended.

So to your point. Yes there is likely old stuff, accoumulated from past versions which is not on the 2011 disk (nothing to do with RT's if you are getting the $139 UltraPak HD which will have them all and they will be all current). As a result recommendations tend to be "install over" the prior versions and content if you want to be sure nothing is lost. I my case I 1) made a full backup 2) deleled all from my DAW HD 3) did a complete install (Option 4) of 2011. Still have my old 2010.5 external HD (as a redundant back up of the prior version) - will probably make that a traveling version of 2011 and put the current 2011 external drive in a safe.

Good luck
