Am i missing something here?
I just plug in a USB drive (or SATA or FIREWIRE 800) and copy the folder over.
Band in the box (and all related files) don't have copy protection so you can just copy folders.
I've never had an issue. I copy almost daily, folders of 100GB and larger. I have two 2TB backups that are constantly moving stuff around.
Seagates are weak drives?
The new drives today (Hitachi, seagate, WD, Samsung,Toshiba) are all VERY good and reliable. The 2.5" drives are just as reliable as the 3.5" drives now also I would think.
Drives are so well perfected they sell for almost nothing and are very fast (hence PG giving them away with the files)
On the other hand.... I just had an Intel 80GB SSD fail on me , something i've never seen recently on a mechanical drive. (The Intel was a Boot drive also, so it's not joke

)
Intel, I would think would be more reliable, but their first batch of SSDs, I have a feeling are junk. (fast but junk)
(there... I got it off my chest. Don't I sound like a know-it-all?

)
