The plugins you can use under the 'Edit' pulldown are a bit iffy when using a format other than 16/44.
Some of the plugins in that pulldown do not work with 24 bit recording.
Easy solution though; all the 'realtime' plugins will work with other bitrates and so you can use the edit pulldown, but select 'realtime DX plugins' from the edit pulldown, then you can load the PGMusic plugins and they will work for hard-writing 24 bit.
It's a little work around if that is what you are after.
I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome
