I spent about 3 days going through most of the styles in Stylepicker, loading demos and marking the ones I liked as a favorite. All worked perfectly.
Then, as a matter of interest I clicked on the "F" button next to the stylepicker button in the main BB window, to check out its functions.
Now all of my favorites in Stylepicker have disappeared, and i have lost 3 days work
Is there any way I can get them back?

In your BB folder, see if there is a file called StyleFavorites.txt. If it is there, open it and see if your styles are there. If not, you somehow lost them.
If the .txt file still has them, you are doing something wrong in BIAB. Let us know and we'll go from there.

I too have lost my favourite styles. I had at least 20 in biab 2010 then I installed 2011 and hey presto no more favourite styles. The way I added them was in the F button next to the styles, I did a search for that StyleFavorites.txt, the file is there but no lost styles.
I wonder is it a bug or am I doing something wrong too?

My favorites survived the upgrade. If there are styles still in the .txt file, make a copy of that file and try Re-Building the styles from the Stylepicker.

Perhaps you are running 2011 from a different folder? Try searching your computer for bbw.exe (or stylefavorites.txt) to see if you have the program installed in more than one place.

The Stylefavorites.txt file is empty!
As I said in my original post this happened after I clicked on the "F" button next to the stylepicker button in the main BB window, to check out its functions. This immediately deleted all my styles I had marked with an "F" in the Stylepicker window
There is obviously some bug in BB2011 to cause this.
Very annoying as it was a tedious job ploughing through countless styles to find the ones I liked :-(

In case it helps, my favorites were blank and my system did not have a file called stylefavorites.txt
I hope there was nothing in the install that wiped out the old one. I do not remember ever adding anything to the favorites list; I thought it just gave me back my last 10 used. This could be completely wrong, though.
In 2011, I added a style and it stuck, and the file was created.
So, rebuilding the favorites list should not be difficult as time goes along.

The .txt file was created, but then deleted itself when i used the "F" button in the main BB 2011 window. Must be some glitch in 2011

The F button will bring up a window that shows recently played styles as well as Favorites. Maybe you were looking at Recently Played. Top left of window is how you select these. Watch out for the Clear button - it will clear that file.

Thanks Rachael...looks like it got deleted because I hit the clear button , thinking it would just clear the styles in that window..not the ones marked with an "F" in the stylepicker window. It didnt occur to me they were linked..
I have learnt the hard way :-(

Mal, I think Rachael solved it with the Clear button. I tried repeatedly to duplicate your problem here and could not.
