Hi Gregg,

I don't have Win7, but I have the Audiobox USB and am using it with Realband under Win Vista32. If I were you I would just re-download the correct driver from the Presonus website, but make sure you download the correct driver for your version of Win7 that you have (either 32-bit or 64-bit). The download will be in the form of a zipped folder.

This is what I did in Vista: First of all, make sure the Audiobox is NOT plugged into your computer via usb at this point. Download the zip folder from the Presonus website to your desktop (name of zipped folder will be Presonus AudioboxUSB...), then right-click on this zip folder and select "Extract All". This will extract the necessary files into another folder on your desktop with the same name. Left-Double-click on this folder, then double-click on the next folder (with the same name) shown, and you will see a series of files. Double-click on the file "setup.exe", and just follow the step-by-step instructions. It will tell you when to plug in the device, then it will ask you to temporarily unplug it again. Just keep following the steps until it tells you the driver has been successfully installed. Hopefully this will all work satisfactorily for you in Win7.

My experience with trying to install it in Vista was a nightmare, but I attribute that mostly to Vista because I was able to install it flawlessly on a netbook running XP. And like you, I found the tech support at Presonus to be a complete waste of time (2 weeks) and totally useless; I eventually had to figure out a solution on my own (another good reason to use Realband as your DAW instead of Studio One - there's a ton of good support from both PG Music and the good people on this forum). With Vista I ended up having to forgo the use of the Presonus driver designed expressly for Vista and was in the end able to get the Audiobox to work with a generic usb driver in Windows. Hopefully you will find the driver experience in Win7 to be more like it was for me with XP - flawless.

Once the driver is installed, start Realband and it should automatically detect the Audiobox driver. You can then click on the Audio Driver icon in Realband and you should see the Presonus Audiobox driver listed as one of the selections. Highlight it on both the input and output side (if you plan on monitoring from the Audiobox also), click ok, and you should be set to go.

Let us know how you fare with the Audiobox.

Terry
