A recent Blackberry discussion, (lots of coverage here, they are up the 'road'), was that operating at the required speeds the chips in the phones are getting maxed out. Blackberry is poised to release phones with the ability to run muliti-threads reducing heat and power requirements, plus the QNX on multiple devices, including all their new phones, and tablets. And the tablets are to have HDMI, USB or at least that is the word on the street.

Interesting times. I did a bit of work on QNX years ago for the Robarts Eye Institute, who were running research programs on the o/s. To be honest I think it was about x's software which runs fine on DEC won't run on QNX but we have a better CPU, more memory and faster drives. I had 4 of those contracts, all of them were the fault of the compilers being used and they worked but were not optimised for the environment. I got paid to say "I'm an expert and your thing is broken and I suggest you sue them, and they fixed the problem rather than have the bad publicity.

I would bet my 'bippy' (where is Laugh In when you need it?) that tons of tablets with scrolling sheet music hit the market when I'm too old to care.....LOL.

Which means about 10 days from now I think.

Anyways, herself is drawing my bath and I should be getting organised so.
