How are you reaching this conclusion?
My guess is you are opening the resulting file in either RB or Mediaplayer and then the volume is not turned up all the way.
Example- you merge everything down, then open the resulting wav file in RB, but the slider for the track is at 70% or something like that.
After merging, if you open it in RB make sure the track volume and the master volume are all the way up to hear the true volume.
I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome
