I'm about to receive my 3rd hard drive with the UltraPlus package. Can I copy all the files from this
one over the previous version hard drives and have those as backups? Also, in an earlier version, I
bought add on packages which I assume will disappear from the last upgrade. So, If I copy all the
files from the latest drive over the old one, I will update the older drive and retain the extra bonus
packages. Is this a correct assumption and ok to do (not violating copy privileges)?

I do not think there is any 'privileges' question here. You are just making a backup. My opinion is not official, of course.
The RaalTracks in 2011 are only 1/3 the size of the prior versions. My suggestion would be to install 2011 on the older drive without installing the RealTracks, run the Erase +/- command to 'shrink' the RealTracks, and then copy the files from the new drive. That way, you won't overflow the space on the old drive. This is what I did.
PG Music Support could give you advice on doing what you want.

Matt, thanks for the suggestion. I'll give it a try when the new drive arrives. I feel much more comfortable having the backup drives in case I drop one. I assume that the new files will overwrite previous versions and if there are extra files on the older drive that are not on the latest version, it will not be a problem.

I 'installed' the new version over the 2010 drive I had. It worked great.
After using it for a bit I determined I could run the 'Erase +/-' routine. This saved a ton of disk space.
Point is: use 'install' as opposed to 'copy'. Makes a difference.
I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome

Agreed. When I said "install" I meant it literally.
