Hi Guys,

Hope every one had a great holiday. I have a quick question here. When recording and importing wave files into Power Tracks, how do I get the wave files to line up nicely in the measures like a midi file does? I am sure it will have to do with the actual recording and rendering of the wave files For example, my fellow musician friend who uses DIGITAL PERFORMER sent me an mp3 file for me to add some keys to it on a seperate track and to email back to him. He told me to play the keyboard organ solo from measures 50 to 61 and when I imported the mp3 file in Power Tracks that he sent to me, the mp3 file lines up properlhy in measures and I was able to clearly see what he was talking about and did the solo in the measures he wanted, exported the file in PT, saved it back as an mp3 file and emailed it to him. Everything worked smoothly. I know DIGITAL PERFORMER is a high end MAC DAW, however, I take it that this can be done as a standard procedure in most DAWs. I am still green to the Home studio vibes. Been more or less a gigging musician now and then doing the home studio thaang.

Can any one help and offer some tips for me? Thanks so much
