Thanks to all who replied to my earlier post asking for help regarding installing BB11 Pro on my 64-Bit Windows 7 Professional systrem. Since that post, I have found the way to successfully install this old software. Here's how to do so:

Windows 7 Professional offers a feature called "Virtual PC" via download from Microsoft. Virtual PC provides a fully operational version of Windows XP to run in a virtual mode. Details for this feature are fuly explained on the MS website.

After downloading and installing Virtual PC, I successfully installed BB 11 Pro under this virtual operational mode. The Virtual PC mode can be used to install and run other older software and was developed primarily for businesses to be able to continue to use software which would not run under Windows 7 Professional - particularly on 64-bit systems.

During my investigations, I also determined that BB 11 Pro would successfully install and run under Vista.

Now, I have another question: One of the respondents to my earlier post suggested that I should upgrade because the new BB programs are "worlds apart" from the version I have. I am essentially a new BB user, so I would appreciate further comments about how I can benefit from paying for an upgrade.

Thanks.
