Here's a quick tip guide on finding and applying the settings for the default # of bars and choruses for new song projects within Mac versions of Band-in-a-Box! 1. Open up Band-in-a-Box 2. At the top of your screen you will see the toolbar, go into Options | Settings (this will bring up your Preferences window) 3. Within Preferences 1, you will see on the right side "Defaults for new songs" - here you can set the defaulted # of bars your song will have as well as choruses (repeats) that will be included. This will apply to any new songs you create, so no need to manually change them after!  4. Click OK out of the window to apply these changes.

Band-in-a-Box 2026 Video: AI Stems & Notes - split polyphonic audio into instruments and transcribe
This video demonstrates how to use the new AI-Notes feature together with the AI-Stems splitter, allowing you to select an audio file and have it separated into individual stems while transcribing each one to its own MIDI track. AI-Notes converts polyphonic audio—either full mixes or individual instruments—into MIDI that you can view in notation or play back instantly.
