I've been using BIAB to help learn to play some jazz blues guitar using a book called "Jazzin' The Blues". The book lessons include a rhythm part and a single 12 bar lead part. I've put them together in a video, using BIAB to make the drum and bass part. These have been well-recieved on the Blues You Can Use forum, and I think I've sold a couple of people on Band In A Box. Thought I'd post here for anyone looking for ways to use BIAB to learn something new musically. Any comments or suggestions appreciated.

Well executed, make sure you take your eyes away from the page (lead - which is just off shot?) if you don't you will become a slave to it. Try to add some variation using your own creativity. Early days of course.. sounds good. If you incorporate full memorisation right away it pays of BIG TIME

Good for you mate - a great example application for BIAB. Keep at it. Loved the glasses.

That rendition would play well in a orchestra arrangement - tight, straight with four on the floor. Now, just for fun, how about another version where you loosen the comping up, raise the tempo a little, swing it hard, and add some improvisation to the melody to stretch it out.

Good job and have fun.

zero and dan,

Thanks for your input. Memorization and improvisation are definitely two things I need to work on! I put this out there as a demonstration that you don't have to be a professional level musician to use and benefit from - and maybe above all, have fun with - Band In A Box. It's a fantastic program for ALL levels of musicians.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
