Geir

Sunburnt Country.

Yes, you hit the nail on the head. South Australia. I think it's the driest state in the driest continent in the entire world.

Great upbeat song. Lots of fun. Stay cool.

Hi Geir,

Loved this song! Great job!

I notice you didn't post the lyrics... I've gotten spoiled by being able to read the words as I listen to the song. Any chance you could come back to your post and add the lyrics for the sake of anyone else who may be as spoiled as I am.

=========== update!============

Geir messaged the lyrics to me, so I decided to repost them here for the benefit of anybody who likes to read along with the song (as I do)

Quote:

DOWN ON THE LAND By Geir Børholm © APRA / AMCOS

Down on the land things ain’t working out right
the hot wind’s a blowin’ dried everything in sight
It’s not that I’m complaining or blamin’ any one
it’s just apart of living in the harsh Australian sun

Chorus
I’m living in a country a sun burnt country
where the banks have no mercy for the man on the land
I’m living in a country a sun burnt country
I’m tiered of the struggle but I do the best I can

Now I ain’t one for quitting or crying in my beer
I’d sooner fight a tiger snake than shed a single tear
It’s hard -n- hot and dirty but honey I don’t mind
as long as theirs a cold one in the fridge when I get home

Yep, we agree!

We enjoyed it -- particularly as folks who played bluegrass for 30 years!

J&B

BTW, Dunno if SC is responsible or not but the song as played a few minutes ago is very hot. Nearly
blew the monitors off the shelf until I pulled the gain down. smile FWIW I've had SC generate some
funky versions of my uploads and then it can change w/o notice.

Cool song!! You certainly have a lot of range. I thought your last posted sounded like U2. This one is a LOT different. But, you consistently deliver a quality product and some excellent vocals. Very well done! Take care. Greg
