This is a brand new song I wrote with Neil Sleevi...I used:
CMPFMDF.STY Campfire acoustic
Then added the Steve Hinson steel (363Pedal Steel)
Then added drums and rhythm from my Tyros 5

Hope you enjoy and I welcome any comments...Dan

The Great Exchange
Lyrics N. Sleevi/ D. Simmons Music D. Simmons

Verse 1:
In Christ… all our wounds were healed
Salvation was revealed
And the great exchange was sealed…at the cross

Verse 2:
He took…away our sinfulness
And with His final breath
He traded life for death…at the cross

Chorus 1:
The Great Exchange…that God ordained That on His Son…all our sins would fall
So the children of the night could be the children of the Light
In the greatest exchange of all

Verse 3
And as they mocked His Holy name
Our Lord cried out in pain
Bore all our guilt and shame…at the cross

Verse 4:
He gave us all His righteousness
Exchanged for sin and death
And the cursed became the blessed…at the cross

Chorus 2:X2

It was the greatest exchange of all

Hello Dan,

Nice work with the Steve Hinson pedal. That's not an easy one to use I noticed.
Good song!

Rob...this is the chording mode...the lead mode has too much movement for background but this is drawn out chords...I think they would work with any ballad...Dan

Hi Dan,

I love the gentle yet full and rich sound of the production. It's really beautiful. Everything is arranged and performed to perfection. As Pat has already mentioned, the way the arrangement builds is very satisfying to listen to.

Really good work!

Regards
Noel

Review - Loops-with-Style PAK 2 for Band-in-a-Box® 2020

"Dr. Dave" Walker is at it again! You may remember his recent reviews of both Band-in-a-Box 2020 for Mac and Xtra Styles PAK 9 - now he has something to say about our Loops-with-Style PAK 2 - check it out: Click here to read...

With money being tight for most musicians, this is a wonderful gift for those on a limited budget. At $29, it offers months and years of fun and experimentation, bringing many ideas to fruition as songs with enough variation so that your audience doesn’t jump to "aw, that's a computer!" while still keeping the power of the software in your hands.

I set up an eight bar progression with some simple pushes, shots, holds, and rests for reference. Then I started auditioning styles--Three hours later, I am invigorated, inspired, and just plain smiling big. Really CHOICE! From "down to earth" to eclectic, this is a really fun pak.

Great job, folks!
