Your vocal on this is terrific - "energetic"... The mix is good - though I did want the drums to have a bit more "pop" and the piano to be a bit "crisper" (just personal preferences on my part). He told me that if the lyrics make sense, it's not rock and roll, basically. He told me that country was supposed to make sense but rock and roll was supposed to be more like "stuff you remember from a dream" or something like that. Then a drunk cowboy wandered up to the car and started talking about his last two years working on the pipeline in Alaska. Michael Stipe pulled a cheap K-Mart notebook out of his pocket and wrote down every word, including the part about God telling the cowboy not to listen to Elvis. I don't think I've ever been to a better lyric writing workshop. Lyrics are very engaging but cryptic, and the sound is infectious. Love the way you change the melody as you go through the song but keep the feel that holds it together. Your vocal is fantastic but the lyrics took it over the top for me. Your mix was spot on also! This may be your best to date. _________________________ My wife came hone from Walmart complaining about the cashier being a PITA. I would have made the drums bigger and I would have brought the choruses up in pitch as well as a guitar solo after the first chorus. Of course these are all personal preferences as it works fine as is. Another fine creative endeavor. Tom
