colly,

A really nice song - well done. It has a very cool sound overall...like a song that we might have heard on the radio in the early '70's (or late ''60's).

Nice grouping of instruments (you might want to list them so that others could know what to use if they want to create this sound). Well mixed. Well sung.

Nice job. Enjoyed the listen.

Colly,

Welcome back.
A good song with nice reflective lyrics and a really catchy chorus.
Your vocals sound strong and the harmonies work well.
Yes, please let us know which instruments you used - the guitars are great.

colly,

Very enjoyable. I really like the collection of instruments you've used to create your 'band'.

In addition, your songwriting is a credit to you... the melody and lyrics fit together really well. Your performance, arrangement and production also shine. You definitely sound like someone who's been doing this for a while!

All the best,
Noel

Colly,

Definitely a song from the late 60's early 70's
I too would like to learn of the instrs used but apart from that I really enjoyed.
A boy-band wearing tartan could have done/mimed your song and the girls would have been a-screaming uncontrollably grin

Colly,

A very enjoyable song with an anthemic quality to it.
I can imagine everyone waving their cigarette lighters to this one at a Colly gig.

Loved your vocals and all the guitars.

Nice one,
Jez

Awesome song, Colly. I love how the drums build up in the chorus, that's a really nice touch. The whole vocal performance is amazing too -- it'd be great to see a lyric sheet! (Ps. love the track art that you chose!!)

Colly,

Cool arrangement and vocal captures the nostalgic feel.
Seeing the lyrics would be nice - I missed some of the words.

Enjoyed it!

User Tip: How to add drum fills without changing any other tracks

MarioD has shared some great advice when it comes to adding drum fills without changing any other tracks in your song:

There have been a number of questions asking how to add drum fills without changing any other tracks in a song. This is especially important if one is holding a chord for a few measures and wants to add a drum fill prior to the next chord. The following is how to accomplish that:

1-get the instruments/tracks to play like you want but don't worry about the drums for now.
2-generate the song.
3-freeze all tracks
4-unfreeze the drum track
5-add your fills where you want them
6-generated the song again - note this will only generate the drum track and not the frozen tracks
7- when you get the drums like you want them freeze the track

Review - Band-in-a-Box® 2023 for Windows is Overflowing with Features!

Dennis posted his very thorough Band-in-a-Box® review recently, where he dives into some of the new features added with version 2023: Sound-Guy's Band-in-a-Box Review

Read his thoughts on the Download & Install Manager, partial track regeneration, Playable RealTracks, Audio Editing, the addition of SynthMaster, the VST DAW Plugin, and more!

"Band-in-a-Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is, without negative connotation, a monster of a program. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. No DAW can do some of the things BIAB does, while BIAB can do a lot that DAWs do."
