I'm going out with a bang, not a whimper: Almost Made it Home

https://52tracksblog.com/2016/12/29/track-52-almost-made-it-home-last-night/

I used the Butane Style and added a guitar soloist.

RealTracks: Bass Guitar, Electric Guitars, B3 Organ, Blues Rock Drums.

Thanks for listening. I plan to post a reflection piece soon that discusses what I learned along the way using BIAB and my other software tools.

That's all folks!

Fred

Congratulations, Fred!

It has been a great journey. You have shown a good variety of styles and used BIAB well to present them. You are an excellent writer and performer.

This is a good rocker. Well done. I thought the vocal should be a bit more "in the mix" so I could really crank the tracks (when I did that, the vocal was a bit too-much-out-front). And for this style, it could use a little more reverb (and perhaps some delay) - that might be all it needs to "tuck it in".

But - not to take away from the song... a good one! Solid write. Enjoyable listen. It rocks.

I do hope you continue.

Again - Big Time Congratulations. A real accomplishment.

Thanks, Floyd for your support and comments this year. I agree a remix is called for. I have all your mix notes, so I will be busy reworking mixes.

I am sure I will be posting new songs but I need to take a short break.

Congratulation for the successful project! What a great song to end it smile Sorry I haven't commented before, but I have liked your songs, especially the melancholy ones. This last one is no exception with Chris Rea like elements in the chording and in your rough voice. Thanks for the experience.

J&B, thanks for all your comments and support over the 52 weeks. You gave me a lift at a few points where I was wondering if I could make it all the way to week 52.

Fred,

Great rocker to finish up - lyrics are so good I could quote them all, but my favourite lines:

Dead broke rivers

Bare-boned bridges

Blackened hills meet an oatmeal sky

Out of nowhere

Into nothing

What might have beens chasing alibis

I`ve enjoyed all your songs since joining the forum and will tune in again.

Robert

#TipTuesday - The Band-in-a-Box® 2020 Feature Browser!

Don't underestimate the power of the Feature Browser added with Band-in-a-Box® 2020! This is a GREAT resource when you "know that you knew a feature" but just can't quite remember how to find it!

Simply click on the [?] at the top of the program (near the Mixer on the right) to launch this feature. From there, simply type in your query, or choose from the long list that appears in the Feature Browser window. If you're typing it in, you'll see that list change to only show the results that could fit your search - once you find what you're looking for, you can read more about it when you choose [Manual], if there's a video for the feature you can choose [Video] to view it, OR - if you don't need to read about the feature and just want to USE it, choose [Do it] and you're all set!

Watch this new feature in action when you jump to the subject in our New Features video:

10:19 - New Feature - Feature Browser

Give the Gift of Music with Band-in-a-Box®!

Did you wait too long to purchase flowers, a card, or book a restaurant for Valentine's Day? Or, maybe material gifts just aren't your thing?

Or, take it a step further with the help of the Audio Chord Wizard and our StylePicker Song Titles Browser feature!
How???
-Use the Audio Chord Wizard to analyze their favorite song and provide you with the chord progression
-Take that chord progression and start a new project in Band-in-a-Box (choose "Erase the Audio WAV file in BB" | Enable style)
-Head to the StylePicker window, search for a style for that song using the "Song Titles Browser" Feature (top right)
-Choose from the list provided
-Press Play!

Like what you hear? Save it, and viola!

Now there are over 2,900 RealTracks available in RealTracks Sets 1-352! Get them ALL with every Band-in-a-Box® 2020 UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, or Audiophile Edition.
